The 'Darkspore' mod, as I suspect you're talking about, only unlocks content that was added to Spore so players could create content for Maxis' Darkspore game in a competition. I've seen exactly one mod that adds one new part, and it replaces an existing part. Unfortunately, the aquatic stage mod got taken down which is why I was asking if there were any others.
